BDSc — Griffith University, 2012. Special interest in implants and orthodontics. The calming presence behind Smile Spot Mawson Lakes.
Sundeep — Sunny to everyone who meets him — grew up in Adelaide but headed north to the Gold Coast for university. He graduated from Griffith University in 2012 with his Bachelor of Dental Science, then came straight back home.
Before becoming a dentist, Sunny worked as a dental hygienist and therapist. That time in the chair before the letters after his name gave him something most dentists don't start with: a real feel for what patients experience. He knows how a difficult appointment can put someone off returning for years — and he's made it his job to change that.
Sunny has spent time in both the public and private dental sectors across South Australia. That breadth of experience — from emergency public dental to complex restorative work — shapes how he approaches every appointment. He doesn't rush. He explains things in plain English. And he genuinely believes nobody should leave a dentist feeling worse than when they walked in.
His caring and calming nature is what patients mention most. If you've been avoiding the dentist, or you've had a difficult experience elsewhere, that's exactly who Smile Spot was built for.
Outside the clinic, Sunny is a proud dad of two boys, an Adelaide Crows supporter, a cricket fan, and a runner. He also has a groodle — so if you're a dog person, you'll have plenty to talk about.
